  1. Tables

The ability to create tables by assembling a list of words and dividing them with hyphens - (for the first row), and then separating each column with a pipe |, like in GitHub Flavored Markdown:

  2. import from common douments (.doc, .docx, .odt, .pdf)

I cannot work on any projects I have started outside of Write, because Write cannot import them. It's too much of a pain to copy/paste then have to muck around with formatting later. Importing from RTF is a nightmare. Although I intend to work on my new projects in Write, I do a lot of "writing-on-the-fly" with my tablet using Google Docs, so I need to be able to import those things easily.

  3. Adding maths and medias support

Hi ! I though adding a maths support ( to write maths studies ) can be pretty cool by the fact of write will be one of few softwares which accept these but the software which accept these with the best text editor UI and the easiest.

Then, a simple media supprot is needed, as exemple : we can export documents to .odt but just type text with defined sizes and color, medias and framing gesture will perfect this soft

    best regards, jean ung

  5. Integrate with Grammarly

How about integrating with Grammarly? Personally, that would mean I never have to open Word ever again, surely a good thing!

  8. Split window in two parts

Please make it possible to split window in two parts, like it is implemented in Notepad++. Screenshot:
    https://yadi.sk/i/sZPln7QAgmENQ

It is very useful when you have a source document or a plan and another document you work on. So you can write to one and to look into another without switching anything. It is very useful on wide screens.

  9. Export to ePub format

Export to ePub format. Ulysses on iOS and Mac does this beautifully. Nothing comes close in Windows. Let's put that right!

  10. Local Fonts

Give the option to the user to choose from his/her local fonts, and set a different for the headers and a different for the paragraphs if he/she wants to.

  12. Horizontal rules!!!

I love using horizontal rules in my notes. It'd be so cool to be able to add them.

I don't know if I'm able to do this currently of not. If I can, just delete this, but also let me know how I add them.

  14. Indented paragraphs

Allow entire paragraphs to be indented, like in text editors such as SublimeText and Notepad++. This really helps with outlining and making levels.

  16. Support Github Flavoured Markdown

Currently there isn't any support for tables in markdown which GFM does. GFM is by far the best form of markdown.

  17. Ability to sort files and folders manually in cloud pane

It would be really nice in the cloud pane to be able to sort manually your files and folders, not having to rely only on automatic sorting.

  18. Easy tools for story/article rearranging

Easy way to move paragraphs around and insert new paragraphs between them. Like an outliner except for writing, not for note taking! (although it could be used for to-do lists and outlining) A good example of this is Checkvist and UV Outliner. Using just keyboard you can add, shuffle, remove, and rearrange whatever you are writing (and since everything is a tree hierarchy moving a whole chapter around would be easy).

This is an amazing feature I wish Write would have, otherwise it is pretty perfect.

  19. (Inline) Comments

Personally, whether I write or reread, I find myself adding comments to the text all the time. So I'd like to have this ability here.
It could start very simple. For instance, in WriteMonkey (that uses Markdown/Textile as well) any paragraph that starts with a double slash is a comment. It has different color and doesn't add to the word count.
Scrivener has something called annotations that doesn't add to the word count as well.
Of course, you could also go further. You could (optionally) show comments to the right from the text (a bit like, say, here: http://tsi.github.io/inlineDisqussions/ ),…

  20. Support for tables

Possibility to add simple tables. This could be done with wiki or textile markup. I really do miss this functionality, as I often like to use tables to structure some information.

    E.g. Textile markup:
    |_. First Header |_. Second Header |
    |Content Cell |Content Cell |
    |Content Cell |Content Cell |
